Update: 3rd & 4th visit: 1/11&19/24 servings are now larger and faster. Kudos! 5/11/23 place still the same but there were only a few diners, there was an insect on my thai tea but was immediately replaced by the i guess owner. Service is still great. The atmosphere is calming. Adequate spacing between tables. Parking area is around the main st. Or you got to find a place for your own. Server is nice but they need more definitely since she is running back and forth nonstop. Price is quite expensive for what the quality is, u get more aromatics, raw vegetables which for sure i knw should be soft or atleast boiled first. There is this i guess vegetable on the DS talay thai that is a choking hazard and the squid is not cooked well to that it is hard to chew. Place is clean. A/C is working. Table presentation is nice. Definitely if more staff are hired then it would be better.
really lovely place surprisingly good Thai food and sushi for small town America. We had the fishcakes and salmon avocado roll as a starter. The fish cakes were absolutely amazing. No complaints. We shared a pad thai as a main. It was a bit sweet for our liking but still really good. The Thai milk tea was also delicious.
For the past two years we’ve been eating here. They have the freshest vegetables and best tasting Thai food I ever had. Sushi is delicious.
First time visit, what a great spot for an authentic Thai experience in Newport! Spring roll appetizer was a strong starter, I had the curry noodle soup which was delicious (medium spice level) while my wife had spicy Drunken Noodles which she really enjoyed as well. We'll be back, thanks for the enjoyable evening!
We had a large order to go while visiting family. The food was fantastic. Every dish was delicious and fresh. Hands down some of the best food I've eaten.
Stopped in for lunch on a Monday afternoon. I opted for sushi, and had a cup of miso soup( lots of tofu) , and the Lava Roll which was delicious and had beautiful presentation. My husband ordered the massaman curry, with pork and chicken ( great option, btw) spice level hot, and he really enjoyed it. The spice level wasn’t so insane that it overshadowed the flavor. We also brought pad Thai home and it was delicious. Will definitely be going back, both because it was delicious and because we didn’t bring all the papers we needed to the DMV! (Which is right down the street).
Went in in February after skiing on a busy night with no reservation. Unfortunately, our waiter forgot about us after being seated. When we decided to order to go and leave, the hostess and manager were very apologetic. They seemed very genuine and the manager even gave us a free tea on our way out. We weren’t really bothered by the whole thing (we were just hungry and tired so preferred to eat at our hotel at that point), but the staffs reaction when we left was very kind and appreciated. We will be back if we’re in town again.
Without a doubt the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to!!! Excellent in every way!!!
